Lake Geneva and Apple Picking
Is it a sign of aging when one of your favorite activities is to check out nice houses that are not your own? I'm asking for a friend... Lake Geneva is the perfect place for those who like the outdoors and architecture. It is a picturesque lake surrounded by a 21 mile lakeshore path. Hikers along the path pass through people's backyards and their boat docks, beaches, numerous small streams, and occasionally inspirational messages. While the "do not trespass" signs are omnipresent, there is nothing preventing you from gawking at the mansions and making commentaries. "Wow, so big" is frequently uttered along this path. Chris and I attempted to walk the full length around the lake once and made it to about 14 miles before we called an Uber to take us to the nearest Starbucks for resuscitation via java chip cappuccino and air conditioning.
